We designed, built and furnished Casa de Colores in 2007, but our guests will find our home as fresh and beautiful today as when we opened. We want you to have the same wonderful experience we have every time we visit. Casa de Colores is as comfortable, convenient, safe and enjoyable as possible because some day we will live in it! In the meantime, we are delighted to share it.

Casa’s ideal location on the northern edge of Half Moon Bay, facing the Caribbean, brings fresh breezes off the sea and provides perfect access to the Bay and its renowned snorkeling experience. From our terrace, watch a blue heron catch its dinner, or walk on the beach at the Bay to check out the turtle nests. Snorkel over the abundant coral reef with its lively array of colorful tropical fish or walk five minutes from Casa to the spectacular Yal Ku Lagoon and have the snorkeling experience of your lifetime.

Our guests speak highly of the Casa de Colores holidays they’ve had – and they make return visits, surely the highest compliment we could have. Whether you are 10 people or two, you’ll feel at home and have plenty of privacy. In some of our travels in Mexico, we’ve found that some guests always get the “kids’” bedroom or the one in the back on the lower level, with no view. At Casa de Colores, every room is a winner – are you two couples with kids? No problem, we have two nearly identical master suites and the kids will be happy with their rooms, too. Grandparents? Newlyweds? Maybe they’d like the peace and quiet of their own 600 square foot casita with a roomy king-sized bed, private bath and their own living room, dining room and kitchen?

Our pool is protected from the wind by its location on the non-Caribbean side and it’s also larger and somewhat deeper than most pools in the area. The expansive conchuela-tiled terrace offers plenty of comfortable lounging space and two palapas provide shade for the sun-averse.

Our property managers Monica Estrada and Juan Antonio Huerta will welcome you and assist with any/all questions you might have — they are available to advise or troubleshoot should the need arise. Long-time staff, Zulma and Gaby, keep Casa pristine inside and out. If you’d like meals cooked for you, we can recommend a chef service.

When you leave Casa de Colores and Akumal, our goal is that you love your visit and your experience as much as we do ours.

Rectangular shaped pool is perfect for relaxing or for swimming laps — and the 2 pool side palapas provide good shade. Depth is 4.5 feet throughout. No shallow end; no deep end.

Cancellation Policy

 

Cancellations are effective on the date written notice is received by e-mail in our office. The following assessments will apply: 91+ days prior to arrival date 5% of Total Rental service fee; 61 – 90 days prior to arrival 50% of rent; less than 60 days prior to arrival 100% of rent. Cancellations of Christmas and New Year’s reservations result in forfeit of 100% of rent, if Coco Propiedades is able to re-rent the property for the Holidays they will send you a refund.
